At Vital Voices, we remain steadfast in our support for women leaders but nimble in our approach. As the ongoing COVID-19 crisis unfolds, we’ve been remodeling our approach to ensure we’re as effective and responsive as possible through our Voices of Resilience Initiative. Voices of Resilience is a four-pronged approach encompassing providing direct, critical resources to the women in our network whose businesses or organizations are suffering due to COVID-19, developing and rolling out an online platform for the women in our network to connect, share, learn, collaborate and innovate on – something that’s been quietly in the work over the past few years but is now on an accelerated timeline, mobilizing the network to collective action and amplifying the stories of women leaders as they find the strength to persevere and motivate their teams through this crisis – namely through our new daily podcast series.
We encourage you to listen to this episode featuring Rachel Reese, the mayor of Nelson, New Zealand and Vital Voices VVEngage Fellow, discussing what it’s like to be a leader today or tthis episode featuring Adriana Hinojosa Cespedes, another VVEngage Fellow and gender-based violence expert, on how she’s using her position in government to provide resources for survivors of gender-based violence while at home.
