In 2026, Vital Voices enters a pivotal moment in its path toward reaching 50,000 women leaders by 2030. Building on transformative growth in 2025, the organization is poised to surpass our goal of verified women leaders across nearly every country in the world within the coming year. Investments in technology, AI-enabled monitoring systems, cybersecurity, and community infrastructure have strengthened Vital Voices’ ability to connect, support, and amplify women leaders at unprecedented scale. At the same time, expanding leadership programs, crisis response efforts, and global convenings continue to deepen the resilience and collective power of women leaders driving change in their communities.
We also hosted our 24th Annual Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards in April in New York City, bringing together an extraordinary community to celebrate women leaders transforming the world through courage, innovation, and impact. This year’s honorees - including Dame Donna Langley, Susie Wolff, Shirin Musa, and Farwiza Farhan - are advancing change across entertainment, sports, human rights, and environmental protection. We were also proud to present the inaugural Susan Wojcicki Tech for Impact Award to Tracy Chou and Seyi Akiwowo for their leadership in creating a safer, more equitable digital world. More than an annual celebration, the Awards reaffirm Vital Voices’ commitment to investing in women leaders with the resources, networks, and support they need to expand their impact globally.
The first half of 2026 also marks continued momentum for the Vital Voices Leadership Journey model, the expansion of multilingual engagement through the Community Hub and Amplify Platform, and growing global visibility for women-led solutions advancing democracy, economic opportunity, climate action, and social justice. With a stronger infrastructure, a rapidly growing global network, and renewed commitment to holistic investment in women leaders, Vital Voices is well positioned to accelerate impact in the years ahead.
