Vital Voices: Invest in Women. Improve the World.

In 2025, Vital Voices made transformative progress toward its 2030 goal of reaching 50,000 women leaders. By year’s end, we verified 49,000 women leaders across 188 countries - an achievement enabled by major investments in technology, data infrastructure, and AI-enabled monitoring tools within Salesforce. These upgrades provided unprecedented visibility into the scale and engagement of our global network and positioned us to reach 49,700 leaders within the next 12 months. Growth was driven by the launch of Vital Voices 100 x 100, sustained leadership and social impact programming, expanded crisis response work, and a thriving multilingual Community Hub that hosted more than 63,000 sessions and actively engaged over half of its members. This growth reflects our long-term commitment to catalytic, flexible, and holistic investment in women leaders. 

Our leadership pipeline programs continued to drive systemic change by equipping women with skills, networks, and ongoing support through the Vital Voices Leadership Journey model. In 2025, 380 women and girls from over 70 countries participated in leadership training, including Bold Movers fellows reshaping the care economy in the U.S., Grassroots Voices leaders advancing community-led health and justice initiatives, and 26 women political leaders from 21 countries in the Vital Voices Engage Fellowship. At the same time, our Crisis Response Program expanded to meet rising threats against women leaders globally. Through a Readiness, Response, and Recovery approach, we supported 355 leaders in 40 countries with emergency aid, legal and relocation support, and trauma-informed mental health care. An independent evaluation affirmed the program’s effectiveness, with 97% of participants reporting improved emotional safety and renewed ability to continue their leadership. 

We also amplified women’s voices and strengthened organizational infrastructure to support future impact. Vital Voices activated its Global Headquarters with 67 events, expanded global storytelling through the Vital Voices Live! podcast, and advanced women-led solutions in democracy, climate, and economic power - from launching the Anti-Authoritarian Playbook across 50+ countries to elevating Indigenous and women climate leaders at major global convenings. Investments in technology accelerated this work, including growth of the Community Hub, the launch of the AI-enabled Amplify Platform, and enhanced cybersecurity, data monitoring, and safeguarding systems. Together, these efforts ensured that in 2025, Vital Voices not only expanded its reach, but also strengthened the resilience, visibility, and collective power of women leaders worldwide.
