Throughout July and August, at ACREC we continued to strengthen our efforts to promote eye health among older adults. During this period, 33 people underwent eye surgery, giving them a new opportunity to go about their daily lives with greater confidence and independence.
For many of our beneficiaries, vision impairment can become a barrier to performing simple daily activities. Activities such as preparing meals, moving around the home, reading, recognizing family members, or leaving the house can become difficult when vision is impaired.
The care provided aims to reduce these limitations and create better conditions so that each person can continue with their daily life. The results of these procedures represent significant progress not only from a medical standpoint but also in terms of the confidence and independence of those who received care.
This work is made possible by the combined efforts of our team, collaborators, partners, and individuals who choose to support our cause. Every donation helps us provide specialized care to older adults who face difficulties accessing eye care services.
At ACREC, we remain committed to using available resources responsibly, ensuring that every contribution we receive has a real impact on the lives of our beneficiaries. Our goal is to continue expanding access to care and help more people maintain their independence and well-being.
We thank everyone who makes this work possible. Your support translates into care, opportunities, and hope for those who need it most.
We will continue working to ensure that regaining vision also means regaining confidence, autonomy, and the ability to fully enjoy life.
With our sincerest thanks,
The ACREC Team
