In the Aysen region, many elderly residents face long waiting lists for essential eye care, including consultations and surgeries. Many of these individuals suffer from preventable vision loss due to limited access to specialized medical services. Without timely intervention, conditions such as cataracts and other eye diseases can worsen, leading to irreversible blindness. This project seeks to address the significant gap in ophthalmologic care for over 235 elderly patients in the region.
