The village kindergarten and school attract students from miles around, an oasis from Israel's live fire training. At the heart of this oasis, is the library, a place for those who were forced out of al-Aqabah, to return and learn in the land they love. The library promotes literacy and learning and is a key part of the villager's return to their home.
The library provides programs for literacy and english learning, each one tailored specifically for children, young adults, mothers, and fathers, making it easy for anyone to expand and enhance their learning. Your donation will help provide books, computers, and programs to keep this pivotal center of learning operational. This library enhances the village's quality of life and cultivates a culture of learning, essential for their return home.
The library brings math, science, thought, the english language, and literacy, to a place where some, including women, are illiterate. The library makes it possible for the people of al-Aqabah to be literate and knowledgable in english, allowing them to seek better job opportunities and be able to advocate for their village more efficiently.
