The project continues to make steady progess with encouraging engagment and participation of the youths. Despite the absence of dedicated funding, the project team has continued to implement key activities by leveraging existing resources, volunteer support and community networks.
Some key achievements is the continued dellivery of digital skills using the available resources and the community support. Secondly,inceased interest of the youth to participate in technology-driven opportunites and the created strong partnerships with the community youth groups and local administation. This demonstrates that we are committed to ensuring that the marginalized youth are not left out in the rapidly evolving digital economy. As a result the youth have portayed a strong interest in acquiring digital skills that can enhance their employability opportunities.
While the lack of funding has presented challenges in the reach, frequency and scaling of the project, we have learnt that there is an urgent need for practical digital skills among the marginalized youth and a demonstrated significant demand to expand the project. With dedicated financil support , this project can expand beyond Marsabit and reach more marginalized youth to provide a better structured practical training. Investment in digtial skills and follow up support to the beneficiaries will also contribute to create sustainable livelhoods of the youth.
