Construction is Close to Completion

• The Structure is approximately 85% done as of May 2019. The bamboo poles have been erected as well as the other structural elements including beams, girders and trusses.

• Bamboo railings have already been installed partially on the viewing deck through the help of Baslay’s Farmers’ Association’s local craftsmen and skilled workers.

• The second floor is yet to be covered with bamboo slots as flooring material with the use of nails. Same material is used on stairs.

• Nipa leaves are used as the tower’s roofing material. Ridges are still to be place to prevent rainwater from leaking through its voids.

• The installation of stairs including the threads and landings are still in progress.

• The setting needs to have proper landscape and the team including the community are presently working on it.
