Thank you so much to all of those who contributed to our recovery from the impact of two Category 5 hurricanes!

We have been in our new permanent location for over a year now, and we have two new exhibits in planning stages.  We have been renewed for an additional year of free field trip programs, so elementary classes will be able to continue to visit and even have their transportation covered.  We were also approved to again honor our military by offering free admission to active-duty personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day.  We have been able to exponentially expand our activities through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, and are now offering this service to over 700 children in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

We are so grateful that you chose to support the important mission of the Virgin Islands Children's Museum this year. We could not do what we do without you!

As we close out this campaign, 2020 has brought new challenges to the Virgin Islands Children’s Museum in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. While we have to be closed for safety at the moment, we have always been focused on being an important resource for families. Our new campaign has just been submitted for GlobalGiving review.  Thank you in advance for considering continued support as we serve the community in new ways!

Holiday Greetings VICM Supporters!

It has been a great year at the Virgin Islands Children's Museum! We were able to accomplish so much thanks to the support of community members and individuals such as yourselves. We were able to welcome over 17,500 visitors to the museum since opening in our new location last year!

We had a successful fundraiser in October, as we hosted our 4th Annual Masquerade Ball, with over 300 attendees. We were able to raise much needed funds for our programs, services, and operating budget. We are still working towards sustainability in our recovery efforts, and know it will be a long term process to reach that goal.

We have been able to continue our Toddler Tuesday, Imagination Library, Recycling and Coding, and Free Field Trip Programs this fall.  We also hosted the Girls in Future Technology (GIFT) Day with AT&T at the museum in November, showcasing the career avenues available STEM fields. Additionally, we installed an incredible new Ships Bridge exhibit, increasing the museum's offerings! We have so much more to look forward to in 2020!

We are so grateful that you chose to support the important mission of the Virgin Islands Children's Museum this year, and ask that you consider a year-end contribution. We could not do what we do without you!

Have a Happy New Year!

We had a great summer at the Virgin Islands Children's Museum! It is our busiest time of year with school out of session, and we are happy to be the go-to resource for families and summer groups. The museum was able to thrive this summer in its offerings and accessibility thanks to the generosity of businesses, foundations, and individuals such as yourselves.

The VICM was able to introduce to the Virgin Islands and participate in a new program this summer: Blue Star Museums. In honor of our military, the VI Children's Museum is joined with other museums around the nation to support Blue Star Families. Running from Armed Forces Day in May, until Labor Day, the museum offered free admission to to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and up to 5 family members, including the National Guard and Reserve. We had over 70 visitors come through with this program, and look forward to participating in this program annually.

The museum also hosted over 72 visiting summer camp groups! We offer a special group rate during the summer to allow summer camps to incorporate a visit to the museum each year. This year saw over 1000 children visit with their camp groups!

Another successful program this summer was our Museums for All reduced admission program. we had over 660 children and families visit the museum together under this important accessibility program. This program allows families with a valid SNAP food stamp card to visit the museum for a reduced admission rate of $2 per person, thanks to Princess Cruises Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands.

Of course all of these programs and the museum itself would not be possible without your support! We thank you so much for continuing to support the museum and bring the high-quality programming of the museum to the community of the Virgin Islands!

The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum is growing into our new home. After losing the majority of our exhibits and our original home in hurricanes Irma and Maria, and two moves last year, we have made an incredible recovery. Thanks to the grassroots support of our community, we have a beautiful and dynamic new facility, and have been able to expand our program offerings and accessibility.

In addition to our inspiring exhibits, we are running a literacy initiative providing free books every month to registered children in the territory from ages birth to five. To increase accessibility to the museum, we are providing Free Field Trips to all elementary schools, including the cost of transportation, and our Museums for All program allows SNAP food assistance card holders to visit the museum for a reduced admission. We have begun an on-site recycling program, where we are able to chip plastic, and recycle in a variety of ways with different machines. We also provide a host of programs weekly to support early childhood education and development.

Your assistance makes it possible for the museum to keep it's doors open, provide these incredible programs, and so much more! We cannot thank you enough for your support.
