Reporting Period: Q-1 2025
Organization: Cat Tales Wildlife Center
Funding Goal: $15,000
Remaining Goal: $14,470
Donors to Date: 4
Monthly Donors: 1

Overview
Thanks to the support of our early donors, we’ve taken the first important steps toward improving animal care in the face of rising health threats. This project seeks to address an urgent need for on-site diagnostic tools to minimize delays in treatment and reduce disease transmission risks—especially in light of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and other biosecurity concerns.
Why This Project Matters
Transporting animals off-site for medical care can expose them to unnecessary stress and potential disease. With HPAI impacting both birds and mammals, biosecurity has become a top priority. Having diagnostic equipment at our facility—especially a portable digital x-ray system—will allow us to make timely decisions for animals with fractures, respiratory concerns, or internal injuries, without compromising safety protocols.
Progress Highlights
Project Launched with clear goals and protocols in place
First Donors Have Stepped Up — thank you for being the foundation of this effort
We have begun researching compatible x-ray units and gathering vendor quotes
Staff training is underway to reinforce strict sanitation and biosecurity protocols in preparation for diagnostic use
What’s Next
With your continued support, we will:
Secure the most suitable portable x-ray unit for our diverse animal population
Train key staff and veterinary partners in use and maintenance
Establish a dedicated biosecure space for diagnostics
Provide regular updates with real-world examples of improved animal outcomes
You Make the Difference
Every dollar donated gets us closer to safe, swift diagnostics and healthier animals. Whether you gave once or are supporting us monthly, you’re helping rewrite what’s possible for non-releasable wildlife. Thank you for being a crucial part of this life-saving effort.
