TRAINING CAMP: Youth against sexual exploitation of children and teenagers.
From the 24th to the 26th of June we carried out the training camp of prevention of sexual exploitation of children and teenagers with our team of professionals and trainers at Claves. The camp took place at our educational center El Retoño.
30 teenagers, youngsters and referents from 10 faith-based organizations (churches, youth centers, university movements, etc.), coming from the capital of Uruguay and other departments, participated of this activity.
We had times of presentation and integration of the group, of getting to know other participants and working on themes related to prevention of sexual exploitation of children and teenagers. Also, we worked on different methodologies to prevent these situations from happening, developing the definition of the subject in matter, characteristics, related stories, what risk and protective factors are as well as studies of resiliencies.
Now, each group is working on the planning of activities to be carried out in their church, center or movement, for which they count on follow-up meetings with Claves’ team.
After that, it's hands to action on the interventions at their communities.
