In Ukraine's frontline zones, responding to mass-casualty events is a matter of life and death. We are deploying mobile medical teams to these conflict-affected areas. Over 3 months, we will reach 4,000 residents living under active fire. We provide free blood-typing and register willing individuals into Ukraine's existing national donor database. This "Walking Blood Bank" network lets communities instantly mobilize blood during attacks, saving lives even when logistics fail.
Ukraine faces a critical blood shortage. The war has displaced millions of regular donors, while mass trauma drastically increases the need for blood. Medical data shows death from massive hemorrhage usually occurs within the first two hours. The biggest gap in frontline zones is the lack of a pre-registered local donor pool. Without a verified community network, regional blood centers cannot mobilize supplies fast enough through active combat zones to stop preventable deaths.
This 3-month, $60,000 project builds a localized preparedness layer. Our mobile outreach teams deploy directly to hard-to-reach frontline areas to: - Conduct Point-of-Care Testing: Provide free ABO/Rh blood type self-identification (EldonCard kits) for 4,000 individuals. - Populate the Existing Database: Register willing, eligible individuals into Ukraine's verified national donor database, instantly connecting them to the active medical infrastructure.
This project builds sustainable resilience. By equipping 4,000 people to know their blood type and registering them, communities form a practical emergency network. Trained mobilizers and updated donor lists remain active long after the 3-month intervention. This ensures frontline healthcare facilities can mobilize a lifesaving blood supply in the critical 2-hour window following any attack.
