We are thrilled to share the latest progress on our mission to enhance healthcare services at the Medical Centres in Talara. We had to shift our focus from “Talara II”, suddenly set for demolition, to the Medical Centre named “José Abelardo Quiñones”, which is the second most important in Talara, with a population of over 57,400 people reliant on this centre.
We had to recover feasible, used materials from “Talara II”, remake the interviews, the consumption analysis, the solar site analysis, re-evaluate the electrical system and hire new electricians.
The new priority areas determined were: the cold chain, the pharmacy, the emergency room, and the admission office. All of them are going be powered with an independent electrical system that is going to run through the walls and roofs.
We are going to install the same system designed for “Talara II”. However, our chosen provider, OMP Solar, runned out of the required equipments due to the delays caused by the sudden change of plans, so we had to contact our second-best provider, INMOTICA.
We are grateful for the support of the Regional Government of Piura, which has contributed significantly to the success of this project through the purchase of the battery bank.
We are incredibly thankful for the generous support of our donors, whose contributions have been pivotal in driving this project forward. Your belief in our cause has allowed us to take significant steps toward a brighter future for healthcare in Talara.
