2023 Uplift a Child Team Visits Kenya

Dear Friends and Well wishers of Uplift a Child!

The Republic of Kenya is an East African country with a lower-middle-income. Despite the fact that their national educational system consists of three levels: eight years of compulsory primary education, four years of secondary education, and four years of higher education, many children are deprived of the opportunity to attend school due to factors such as gender disparities, high poverty levels, teacher supply and quality, the HIV/AIDS pandemic, and insufficient of financial resources.

Uplift a Child initiated its chapter in Kenya in the year 2018. Mr. Sam and Alice Makori from Nairobi, Kenya, rescued 50 children from the Maasai ritual of child marriages and sheltered them in their own residence. They connected these children to Uplift a Child International. It was then that they were put in the best boarding schools in Nairobi, Kisii, Nakuru, Narok, etc. Our children are placed in the 12 best schools throughout the country, where they receive the best education while attaining moral values for their lives.

Our team visited these children at their schools from Aug 4- Aug 8, 2023. In this report, you may find a glimpse of our team visit to Kenya.
