As the world is facing an unprecedented challenge with communities and economies everywhere affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic, the impacts of the pandemic and the economic fallout have been widespread, but remain particularly prevalent in lower middle class and families under poverty line. Through the Socio-Economic Crisis during the Pandemic wave 2 In India, Uplift a Child International Team focused on how we can help best.
We raised about US$ 5000 to support 300 such families at 5 locations in Tuni, Visakhapatnam, Araku, Anakapalli and Hyderabad in South India, these families lost their livelihood. We provided them Medicines and Grocery Supplies for one month.
At the crucial time of Oxygen Scarcity, Uplift a Child team donated Oxygen cylinders to the most needy and kept ready many Oxygen Concentrators to meet the critical care. Many families were thankful for the thoughtful deed of kindness.
