We're happy to report fantastic progress in the university computer assistive technology support program before the Christmas period starts.

Apple has donated twenty Macbook laptops to help blind law students reach their full potential while pursuing legal careers and elevate their contributions to society.

The inABLE team contacted Kenyatta University, the University of Nairobi and Mount Kenya University in Kenya to identify twenty deserving blind law students. These twenty blind students will significantly benefit from the program and impact the disability rights landscape in Africa and beyond.

The students are in the first, second, or third year of their legal studies

We look forward to having fun and interactive training sessions with the blind law students in the first quarter of 2024. They will be taught the best practices on using the Macbook laptops in their legal studies.

This project aims to enhance the learning experience of blind law students because they have difficulty pursuing a legal career. These challenges include that learning material isn't always in an accessible format, studying for exams, plus undertaking university exams because this involves a sighted aide reading the exam questions and the blind law having to dictate their answers.

We're grateful to everyone who has supported this program, and we urge you to keep supporting us and bring dreams of an inclusive education to reality for all.

We will keep you updated, and we appreciate all of you.
