Global humanitarian needs are at record levels with 362 million people in need. The first half of 2023 has seen humanitarian crises driven by conflict, climate shocks and food insecurity. Three global headwinds – geopolitical, economic and environmental – are expected to continue to shape the coming years with a profound impact on the lives of children, especially those already living in, or vulnerable to, humanitarian crises.
