As winter approaches in Ukraine, SmartAID is actively preparing to ensure that hospitals and shelters have reliable access to electricity. The harsh winter conditions and ongoing conflict have severely impacted the power supply, making it crucial to provide stable electricity for medical procedures and shelter operations.
SmartAID is assessing the situation by identifying hospitals and shelters that are most dependent on electricity. We are distributing solar generators, emergency generators, and large battery chargers to these facilities.
Additionally, we are setting up solar-powered lighting units and power banks to ensure that medical staff can continue to provide essential care and that displaced individuals have access to safe and warm shelters.
Our efforts also include deploying Starlink units to enhance connectivity in temporary camps and shelters, ensuring that communication lines remain open for coordinating aid and providing educational support By addressing the critical need for electricity, SmartAID aims to create a safer and more stable environment for those affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
