In Ukraine, SmartAID is making a vital difference by providing access to solar energy in shelters that have lost electricity due to ongoing bombing. These shelters, often places of refuge for those affected by conflict, are plunged into darkness, compounding the challenges faced by internally displaced. Currently we are offering access to electricity to 20 new shelters and sites in eastern Ukraine allowing 3,000 families to charge their phones, children access their online school and light during the night.
SmartAID's initiative to install solar panels is not just about illumination; it's a lifeline for the people living in these shelters. Solar energy solutions not only bring light but also the ability to charge essential devices, providing a crucial means of communication and connection to the outside world.
The impact of SmartAID's work in Ukraine extends beyond technology. It represents a beacon of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. By restoring electricity and some semblance of normalcy, SmartAID's efforts empower families who have endured significant hardships.
In a time of crisis, our work is a testament to the transformative power of compassion and innovation.
