We have had great success since our Global Giving Campaign! Although we were unable to meet the target to have a permanent place on the website we managed to raise over £1000/$1400! This has helped the project immensely and we are very grateful for your support.
We have used the money to cover all legal fees finalising the purchase of an acre plot of land for the shelter. Most excitingly we have hired a local architect and will have the first blueprints for the shelter in a few weeks. Everyone at WORI is so excited, as our dreams of providing a safe space for abused women becomes a reality.
Although we are only starting our long journey in building the shelter we are hopeful that we can work towards violence free communities and protect those who face violence.
