Current status of the project:
Currently Udayan Outreach Programme is providing financial support and counseling to 80 children and 65 families. Monetary support for the education & nutrition of the affected children.
Monthly Workshops with HIV AIDS +ve infected parents and HIV AIDS affected children o Monthly Workshops for HIV AIDS +ve Parents:
In order to create an enabling environment for the HIV AIDS +ve parents, Udayan Care conducts monthly workshops for capacity building to help them deal with the disease and provide them with a platform to discuss similar problems as a result of their HIV AIDS status by creating a Mutual Support System (MSS) amongst themselves. Udayan Care emphasizes on the capacity building of the parents towards the academic excellence of their children and provides information on HIV AIDS related issues like health care, medicines, rights, social exclusion etc. Udayan care also provides need based counseling to the families as well as the individuals. o
Monthly Workshops for Affected children of HIV AIDS +ve Parents: We organized the monthly motivational workshops with these children. Our main objective to organize workshops for the children is to make them confident, communicative and expressive. During the workshops, we give them opportunity to gain confidence, tips for improve their personality and the communication skills. We use the different ways or activities such as theater games, art and craft, extempore and discussions on responsibility, rights and duties, goal setting and attainment offer the children opportunities to voice their opinions and work towards their individual growth to achieve the desired outcome.
Monthly workshop for personality development was held on March which was equally participated both by parents and children.Thanks to it, the children has grown more confident and has improved their communication skills.
