Reliving the dream of “MBBS”
Rashmi ( Name Changed), batch 11th fellow joined Udayan Shalini fellowship in 2011; from the very beginning she undoubtedly was clear with her aim of becoming a doctor. She was so firm on her decision that soon after completing her 12th boards with 95% when she didn’t cleared medical exams, but she secured good rank for B Sc Nursing in AIIMS. But she denied to take admission in Nursing. Her desire was to get admission in MBBS so that she took one year gap, worked thick to thin and finally her hard work paid and she performed commendably well by getting 104 rank in AIPMT (All India Premedical Test) at all India rank, stood 26th at Delhi and secured 67th rank in UPCPMT.
Her belief systems has been further reinforced via incessantly attending USF workshops and meetings with her mentor that through handwork and determination on can accomplish any goal in life. She shares an emotional bond with the program.
Apart from her academic brilliancy she has also turned into a socially sensitive citizen of the country. She has volunteered for SIDHI, an NGO for collecting clothes and relief materials for Nepal earthquake victim.
