I. Executive Summary
The programme aims to promote academic excellence and foster personality development of young girls from socio-economically challenged background. Since 2002, this programme has benefitted over 2000 girls, mentored by 120 accomplished persons in 5 states.
In the project cycle of April to June ’12, the project successfully extended its service to 1266 fellows in all 5 chapters (Delhi, Dehradun, Kurukshetra, Aurangabad and Kolkata) with the generous support our esteemed donors.
In Delhi all fellows completed successfully their 12th board exam with good percentage and they are highly thrilled to go to the college. Their parents are also very happy to send the girls for higher studies as USF programme is not only supporting their wards with financial assistance but also guiding them throughout in their courses.
College exams were also concluded and fellows are eagerly waiting for their result. Some of them are enjoying their vacation, some engaging in part time jobs and a few are doing internships.
During the reporting period, in Delhi, 1 Alumna meet, 3 small group workshops, 1 quarterly workshop meet were organized.
