By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous donation enabling us to assist those affected by Typhoon Tembin. The typhoon has wrought so much damage to agriculture and to properties and so many people have not yet fully recovered. Our focus during this reporting period is to provide the survivors with vegetable seeds that they are able to grow in their own backyard gardens in order for them to have continuous supply of nutritious vegetables. We purchased the vegetables by the kilogram in order to get lowest price and then repack the seeds into small packets just enough to seed small gardens in their backyards. This approach has proven to be effective in this area as well as in other areas affected by the disaster and we will continue to do this. We are able to provide 124 vegetable growers with enough vegetable seeds comprising ladys fingers, tomato, eggplant, radish, moringa and pepper enough for them to grow the next 3 months.
Hoping for your continuing support to this initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
