12 Students from different schools in Apata ajele Eyenkorin Community in Ilorin Kwara State, Nigeria, spent their midterm break at our office as they have been looking forward to this opportunity again because they were not available during the last camp meeting where the camp participants were taught how to use the computer. This set were taught how to use the computer, how to identify certain symbols and what they stand for on the computer and how to use microsoft office word on the computer. The training was facilitated by an OCDI staff
Below are some of the Success Stories:
Emmanuel (11 years) said " i didint know the parts of a computer before but now i know and i am happy about it"
At the end of the training, the students were given a task to put into practice what they were taught, which they carried out succesfully and they were all excited about the task
The training will continue once in a week for the students as they will be taught more on Microsoft Office Word and will be introuduced to more softwares such as Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Graphics designing using the Corel draw.
