A Place to Belong, Believe, and Become

By Marilynn Akinyi | Communications Assistant

The children of The Fountain of Hope School have returned for a new term — not just with sharpened pencils, but with sharpened spirits, renewed confidence, and eyes lit with possibility.

Just a short while ago, many of these children faced immense challenges. School was a far-off dream. Some had never held a book of their own; others had never known the comfort of daily breakfast and a warm plate of lunch or a classroom where their voices mattered. But then, they stepped into Fountain of Hope.

At The Fountain of Hope School, learning is more than academics — it’s a lifeline. Through caring teachers and staff, nutritious meals, personal support, and a safe, nurturing environment, the students have begun to believe in something powerful: themselves.

The change goes beyond the classroom — we’ve seen the children grow in resilience, empathy, and leadership. They care for one another, take pride in their school, and believe in their ability to shape their future. And academically, the progress is just as powerful: they’re reading with greater fluency, solving problems with creativity, and approaching each lesson with curiosity and determination.

This week, they have come back full of smiles, ready for a new term. They’re eager to learn, to grow, and to continue rewriting their stories. And we, at Turning Point, couldn’t be prouder to walk this journey alongside them.

Here’s to a new term full of hope, growth, and endless possibility.
