dicine fridges stay cold.
SmartAID also keeps a water purification unit running. It’s compact, but it provides the clean, safe water the clinic needs for wound care, hygiene, and sterilization. In crowded camps where sanitation is stretched thin, this clean water has prevented countless infections.
Inside the clinic, the shelves are stocked with medical supplies SmartAID delivered in recent months: first-aid kits, mobility aids, diagnostic devices, and essential consumables that get used every single day.
In the afternoons, mobile health teams prepare to walk through the settlements. Local SmartAID team hands them portable solar chargers, which keep their phones, tablets, and small medical tools powered during home visits. These simple units allow social workers and health staff to reach deep into the camp without losing communication or access to patient records.
Before evening, SmartAID checks the communications equipment they set up routers, boosters, and power backups that allow the clinic to coordinate with nearby hospitals quickly. Now referrals and emergency calls happen in minutes, not hours.
As night falls, the rest of the camp dims, but the clinic stays bright running on the stable power SmartAID maintains. It’s a reliable place in an unreliable environment, and many families depend on it more than they say.
Our work isn’t flashy. It’s practical, steady, and happening day after day: keeping the clinic powered, the water clean, the communication open, and the health teams equipped. In a place still waiting for long term recovery, that quiet reliability is what keeps the community going.
