SMARTAID TECHNOLOGICAL CO-ORDINATION CENTER

Introduction:

In a collaborative effort with DERMAN, a local Turkish charity functioning under the Adana Municipality, SmartAID successfully established a Technological Coordination Center in Adana. This report delves into the center’s pivotal role in delivering immediate relief and sustainable aid.

Center’s Establishment and Scope:

The Technological Coordination Center, situated in Adana, initially initiated as an immediate response to the earthquake, the center’s sphere of influence expanded to provide steadfast support across Adana and Hatay regions. Its considerable impact is particularly pronounced in the expansive Adana region, home to 2.4 million residents, along with an additional 3 million internal displaced individuals affected by the earthquake.

Ongoing Mission and Outreach:

The center remains deeply committed to its mission, actively assisting in the first 4 months 500,000 internally displaced individuals on a monthly basis, showcasing its remarkable reach and operational efficiency. In the current context, the center continues to provide essential aid to 150,000 individuals each month, signifying tangible contributions to their overall well-being.

Extensive Outreach:

The center’s extensive reach is evident in its services extending to areas as remote as a town located 164 kilometers away. More than 500 villages, as well as the cities of Adana and Hatay, continue to benefit from the center’s ongoing aid initiatives.

Comprehensive Services:

The Technological Coordination Center offers a diverse array of services, encompassing healthcare, sanitation, sustenance, access to clean water, psychosocial support, financial assistance, support for microenterprises, and crucial reconstruction of damaged infrastructure. This multifaceted approach underscores the center’s role as a comprehensive response hub.

Leveraging Technology for Impact:

SmartAID’s dedication to utilizing technology for community betterment is evident in this transformative endeavor. The Technological Coordination Center serves as a model of innovation, collaboration, and enduring care. It reinforces SmartAID’s overarching mission to bring about positive change in the lives of those in need.
