By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Climate change is increasingly affecting rural communities in Uganda—bringing unpredictable weather, declining soil fertility, and reduced agricultural productivity.
For many families, the land is their only source of livelihood. Yet without access to tree seedlings, restoring degraded land and adapting to climate change becomes a challenge they cannot overcome alone.
Through this GlobalGiving project, Development Alert aims to establish community tree nurseries to supply free seedlings to rural households, schools, and community groups.
With your support, these nurseries will provide a sustainable source of seedlings for tree planting—supporting environmental restoration, agroforestry, and climate resilience.
Expected Impact
Each seedling planted is a step toward a greener and more resilient future.
