By Barbara Euser | Project Leader
On April 25, Tsharka School teachers began their spring trek to Tsharka via Mustang. With them are all the teaching materials for this year's classes, as well as building materials for construction of a new toilet block.
This year, Tsharka School has a total of ten staff, including seven teachers (in addition to the two teachers provided by the District Education Office), our School Coordinator and two cooks, one for the student hostel and one for the teachers. This is the first year that every staff member is fully sponsored by a combination of non-profit organizations.
ICDF believes the teachers and staff are the most important part of the school: education is the information that passes between students and teachers.
ICDF has been funding teachers and staff at Tsharka School for twenty-three years.
We especially appreciate our donors who support Tsharka School month after month and year after year.
Persistence and long-term commitment are the basis of Tsharka School's success.
Thank you for joining us on this journey!
