The Munneru river, which flows through Khammam town, was in a danger zone has surged agian after 30 years causing severe flooding in khammam district and leaving numerous families stranded. The huge inflows from upstream created fears of fresh floods in colonies on the banks of the lakes. The Flood Waters which reached up to 10 feet in some areas, have inundated homes. The effect of the Floods have left many families in Khammam without the minimum requirements of groceries. In response, we are planning to help 500 poor families.
Priyadarshini Seva Mandali (PSM) has come along to help people that have been left homeless and the devastated individuals in Khammam. PSM is collecting funds from every part of the society to help the individuals overcome the aftermath of Kerala floods. At Priyadarshini Seva Mandali, we are putting our best endeavours to do our share for each of those unfortunate people who have been affected by the floods and provide food for the poorest families.
This project will help 500 families in Khammam access food and start recovering from the devastating of the recent floods in the state of Kerala. Depending on funding, we may be able to help more individuals and families.
