This project will provide heavy subsidies for youths from low-income families and underprivileged youths to seek professional help through counselling and therapy for their mental and emotional wellbeing. We aim to reduce depression severity and psychological distress to improve quality of life for our beneficiaries.
Our 25 years of experience working with Youths in Singapore has helped us identify the following problems: 1. There are deep-rooted issues and unmet needs among youth 2. There is also a perceived normalisation of substance use 3. There is also a lack of structured post-residential care for youth offenders 4. Most of these issues are related to mental health symptoms
Through our Community & Youth Services (CYS) Division and management of the Singapore Boys' Hostel (SBHL), Trybe provides youth with guidance and offer support for their families and communities, creating a complete ecosystem of care from community-based interventions to individual aftercare services and specialised counselling and therapy for youths.
To date, we have reached out to more than 150,000 youths through the different services for youths-at-risk, ex-offenders, and their families. In an ever-changing social landscape and the emerging complex needs of youths, we are constantly seeking ways to develop and improve the services we provide in order to make a difference in the lives of our beneficiaries.
