Update progress report on our project

In the words of William James, "The deepest craving of Human nature is the need to be appreciated". We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to our project, "TREE PLANTING IN S/EAST: COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION (54616)".

In the past three months of our last project report, we have received additional donation of $59.50 through GlobalGiving in continuation of our humanitarian services. Within the last three months also, we have received few donations from few individuals who assisted us through In-kind donations and our little contributions. Here is the little income we were able to receive and how it was used for our humanitarian services:

*INCOME*

a) Donation received through GlobalGiving = $59.50

b) balance of income brought forward =$14.99

c) In-kind donation = $125

Grand total =$199. 49

Below is a short description of how the money was used in the project

Expenditure

100watts solar street light with Solar hanger (3pcs ) 3×62.6 = $187.8

Labour = $15

Total Expenditure = $202.8

Balance = $-3.31

The major problems we face in our project management is occasioned by poor funding, inadequate equipment to execute the projects, absence of technical expertise, economic and political instability and environmental . All these contribute to delaying our performance in our humanitarian services.

Humans and wild animals face new challenges for survival because of climate change. More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans can directly harm animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people's livelihoods and communities.

It is widely acknowledged that Africa is the continent most vulnerable to climate change and the least equipped to cope. These challenges include land degradation, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and other climate-related vulnerabilities.

Everyone can help limit climate change. From the way we travel, to the electricity we use and the food we eat, we can make a difference. We can tackle the climate crisis through; Save energy at home
Much of our electricity and heat is powered by coal, oil and gas. Also, use less energy by lowering our heating and cooling, switching to LED light bulbs and energy-efficient electric appliances, washing our laundry with cold water or hanging things to dry instead of using a dryer.

Once again, thank you for your generous donation to "TREE PLANTING IN S/EAST: COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION (54616)" that supported these efforts.

As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to rural communities.

Moreso, the September Little by Little Matching Campaign is right around the corner once again. GlobalGiving’s September 2022 Little by Little campaign will last 5 days, from September 12, 2022, at 00:00:00 EDT to September 16, 2022, at 23:59:59 EDT. During the September 2022 Little by Little campaign, all eligible donations up to $50 USD per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% for the duration of the campaign.

We will keep you informed about how your donation is impacting the lives of people who are suffering because of this shortage.

Kindest regards,

Samonyemaechi humanitarian.
