Treat and Prevent Malnutrition in Haiti

A year after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, we look back on the year of recovery and rebuilding. There are still many challenges left to overcome and the problems are not all solved. 

But, Edesia is proud to have played its part in the response.

Through the shipments of Supplementary'Plumpy, young children at very high risk of malnutrition were prevented from falling into severe malnutrition. In times of emergency, ready-to-use foods allow us to intervene quickly and have an immediate impact, providing children with the nutrition they require until they are able to get nutritional autonomy.

Thank you all for your continued support of our work to meet the nutritional needs of the most vulnerable children around the world. This year has been a difficult one in many parts of the globe. In Haiti, the rebuilding efforts have been slow and laborious. Fortunately, we have been able to have an impact. With your help we have sent nutritional supplements to hundreds of children in need.

When our team went to Haiti recently, we were able to follow the shipment and its distribution. We are pleased to report that programs depending on these important supplements are successfully providing nutrition supplements (Supplementary’Plumpy®) to young children who are most at risk.

Funds are still needed to complete the project so please help us spread the word.
