Summary

This project is dedicated to providing life-saving nutrition to 100 severely malnourished children in Khairpur, Sindh, Pakistan. Limited access to treatment and a lack of awareness about healthy diets put these children at serious risk of illness and stunted growth. A donation of $55 can provide a full course of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), enough to support one child through recovery and help them regain strength and health.

Challenge

Tragically, millions of children in Pakistan suffer from acute malnutrition, with 600,000 facing severe malnutrition. In Khairpur, Sindh alone, 170,000 children under five experience stunting, wasting, or underweight conditions, and 376,000 need urgent care. Without access to treatment, these children risk irreversible physical and cognitive damage, or even death.

Solution

This project is dedicated to helping 100 severely malnourished children in Khairpur, Sindh-Pakistan, regain health and strength. By providing community-based care, including screening, treatment with Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), and family nutrition education, we address both immediate and long-term needs. This holistic approach helps children recover, thrive, and gain the foundation for a healthier future.

Long-Term Impact

Providing life-saving nutrition helps children grow stronger, healthier, and better able to reach their full potential. Trained lady health workers and educated families create lasting community capacity to prevent and manage malnutrition. Together, this fosters a ripple effect of improved health, growth, and opportunity that benefits children, families, and the wider community.
