The Global Academy travel awards support talented young researchers worldwide to make connections and build international collaborations. Their research projects are helping us reach the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty and injustice, reduce inequalities and address climate change. Humanity's survival depends on us achieving these Global Goals and when you support these researchers you become part of the solution to the world's most pressing problems.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals are humanity's survival strategy on planet Earth. There's a lot to do by 2030 and fortunately young researchers all over the world are working to solve problems and help us reach these 17 urgent Global Goals. These researchers need your help to travel and create connections and collaborations to turn problems into solutions. They are doing amazing work and you can help them create good news stories for all of us and the planet we live on.
Pressing global problems can't be solved by one researcher, one university or even one country. We need researchers working together to help us reach the UN SDG targets and younger researchers, especially, need support to travel for field work and collaboration. Even modest travel awards, up to $1,500, are a simple, effective mechanism to encourage and support the researchers who are working on projects that contribute to achieving the Global Goals.
169 countries agreed to achieve the 17 UN SDGs by 2030, to end poverty and injustice, reduce inequalities and address climate change. This ambitious programme needs unprecedented technical, scientific and behavioural innovation and collaboration. Your donation helps researchers from around the world collaborate in their their work to help us achieve the the SDG targets and reach the Global Goals.
