Dear Supporters
Greetings from Jivdaya Charitable Trust
Winter is a difficult time for stray animals & birds as they get affected by various seasonal diseases (kennel cough, pneumonia, flu, skin infection, parvo virus etc.). These diseases spread fast during this season and many stray lose their battle of life. Also, this time of the year Gujarat celebrates one of its biggest festivals ‘Uttarayan’ (kite flying festival). People fly kites with deadly glass coated thread which take lives of a lot of innocent birds or leave them without a limb for the lifetime. We face the biggest challenge of handling multiple cases together as this is the busiest season for us. With your kind contribution Jivdaya treats all these helpless souls and return them back to their normal life through the project ‘Trauma care center for Animals & Birds’.
Below is the summary of total animals and birds treated in our facility (November 2020):
Total Number of animal treated- 3645
Total Number of Bird treated- 13152
Total Number of Infant bird treated- 435
Total Number of ABC Surgery performed- 24
Total Number of other Surgery performed- 89
We extend our heart-felt thanks to our amazing supporters for helping suffering animals & birds with medical assistance and care. Your ongoing support to our Project has strengthen us to continue our vital lifesaving work.
Dear Supporters
Greetings from Jivdaya Charitable Trust
‘Trauma Care Center for strays’ is our hospital project through which we provide veterinary help for ownerless, abandoned, diseased animals, and birds in an urban setup. Strays suffer in many ways like from road accidents, catch diseases, become victims of cruelty and abuses. Jivdaya Charitable Trust serves these innocent lives by giving them necessary treatments, vaccinations, nutritious food, and rehabilitate them further to their natural habitat. We have only one goal, to make our society caring and compassionate where humans and animals can coexist peacefully.
Last month was one of the busiest months for us. Our team of veterinarians and vet assistants were occupied treating various cases, performed a huge number of orthopedic & soft tissue surgeries along with several ‘Animal Birth Control’ surgeries. All our efforts to save these souls paid off because of your help and support.

Due to the De-forestation many animals and birds are losing their natural habitats and coming inside the city area. Which is causing an obvious conflict with community strays. Blue bulls are one of such victims who are losing their space from suburb of Ahmedabad.
Few days back we have received a baby Blue bull, that got separated from its herd from a nearby field of Sabarmati village. Unfortunately, the baby was attacked by a group of dogs and suffered severe bite injuries on its inner side of hind legs and neck. A farmer who was working in the nearby field rescued the blue bull immediately and brought to our facility for treatment.
It has been given pain killer and antibiotic for a start. After necessary treatment, the baby has been shifted to ‘Wildlife Care Center’ for further treatment and recovery.
Growth and expansions are good but not with the cost of innocent lives. These animals are balancing our nature, without them our environment will face severe threats. If we are taking up their space for our development we should rehabilitate them with proper alternatives to keep the balance.
Dear Donor, thank you for your support and trust.
We aspire your vital alliance with our projects to continue the work of saving speechless and helpless animals.

Dear Friends
Greeting from Jivdaya Charitable Trust
We live in a society where people have mixed emotions for stray animals. In one hand there are people who love and feed the strays and take care of their basic necessities and on the other hand there are people who absolutely against the stray animals and their presence around us. Sometimes these kinds of hatred cause severe damage to the poor stray animals.
Few days back Jivdaya received a 2 months old puppy rescued and brought to us by Sanjay Shah(Name changed) withserious burnt injuries after somebody poured hot water on the pup. The poor puppy was lying on the roadside for almost three days with the pain till the time the Good Samaritan Sanjaybhai came to the rescue. After diagnosis, our team of vets found that one side of its body was severely burnt, and the skin was already necrotic. Our doctors cleaned the dead layer of the burnt skin to stop the infection. Antibiotic, pain management and regular follow ups were given to stable the condition.
With regular care and proper medication, the puppy is on its way to recovery.
The mother earth shares this planet with all her children which include every small species. We humans have been given the best ability to think and act. Being kind is a major part of that act. This is our duty to put an end to these heinous activities. Together we can bring the change and make this world a better place.
Dear Friends, thank you very much for your constant support which helps us to save and provide lifesaving treatment and care to all these innocent lives.

Dear Friends!
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your kindness and generosity in supporting our projects. Trauma Care Centre for Stray Animals and Birds run by Jivdaya Charitable Trust is a multi-faceted approach to helping as many animals, birds, reptiles as possible within our means. Despite the strong relationship people have with animals, many animals are often treated inhumanely, sometimes due to ignorance and false beliefs they suffer in the hand of humans.
Through our ‘Trauma Care Center’ project we try and do our best to help un-owned animals in our city. Our expert team works tirelessly to provide care and comfort to over a thousand ailing animals. In the month of September’20, we have provided veterinary care to 13849 ailing animals and birds, out of which 1343 patients were admitted in our hospital, 92 patients have undergone surgeries and long-term recuperation. We are happy to report that 711 of these patients were successfully rehabilitated back in their natural habitats. Treatments including post -surgery management, nutrition management as well as physiotherapy given to animals & birds that suffered fractures and joint dislocations.
