The South African Government is corrupt and failing their people, since 2007 the country has been experiencing loadshedding when they are cut off from power as the country can't meet demand. The issue is businesses are loosing money, children can't learn and all the global issues are getting harder to fight without power. We need to help our projects move to renewable energy and not reply on a corrupt and useless government. We can also help our footprint by using renewable energy
Whilst the rest of the world is preparing for a time driven by renewable energy, Rural communities across Africa lack the means to be able to take proactive steps to prepare for climate change. On top of this the government are not tackling failing power plants and stolen or lost funds so they can't power the power stations. South Africa government are keeping themselves rich and the poor poorer and uneducated. We can change this together through helping them grow their education and economy
Donations to this project will help us bring our communities off grid through renewable energy and short term generators so business can continue to operate during the loadshedding hours and schools can keep the lights on and teach. This is a critical and emergency need to help this country progress forward and not backwards.
By giving our local partners access to renewable energy we are opening doors for children to learn no matter the hour; have electricity to power computers, sewing machines and other material for vocational training; communicate in case of need and pump water into their homes to save time collecting. Renewable energy is a core building block for further development and provides institutions with the opportunity to be self-sustainable.
