Transition house
Coralia has obtained her birth certificate, which allowed her to register Jonás. Furthermore, her business keeps growing; she fulfilled a large order of bracelets that has already been shipped to Spain.
We are thrilled that Erika has started working and that Sofía, her baby, has begun attending daycare.
The young women and their children took part in an outdoor activity day with other women, enjoying a time of leisure, socializing, and fun that created very special moments for everyone.
Mentoring
The young women continue to participate in weekly training sessions on respectful parenting, strengthening their knowledge and skills to support their children's development and well-being.
In addition, one of the young women has begun training at a salon—an opportunity that will allow her to acquire new knowledge, gain practical experience, and continue moving toward entering the workforce.
Group home Activities
This month, we celebrated the 14th birthday of one of the moms at the home; they made headbands and continued their financial education classes.
Institutional
With the aim of further strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, a meeting was held with representatives from the Ministry of Women, CONANI, Misión de Esperanza, and the Mariposas Ministry of the Amor a Quisqueya Church.
This coordination forum made it possible to identify new opportunities for collaboration among the organizations participating in the meeting.
