Hi everyone! Find attached our latest report.
Thank you so much for your support!
Transition house
This month, Franyeli and Suzelie, along with their children, have made progress in adapting to the routines and house rules. It brings us great joy that all three young women are attending school, while their little ones go to daycare.
Coralia has begun working at a beauty salon, gaining experience for her future career. Furthermore, her bracelet-making venture continues to grow, with significant orders destined for the United States. We have also initiated the process for her to obtain an identification card, starting with the translation of her birth certificate.
Meanwhile, Franyeli has taken steps toward financial independence by submitting her resume to various establishments in search of a job opportunity.
Additionally, we have arranged for the young women and their children to undergo various medical check-ups to ensure all their healthcare needs are met.
Mentoring
This month, our parenting workshops focused on positive communication with children, using ball games as a tool to strengthen the bond between mothers and their children, and the importance of forgiveness in the lives of mothers.
Additionally, the young women in our transitional home met their new mentors, who reside in Jarabacoa. This proximity will allow for in-person meetings, fostering a closer, trust-based relationship, as well as more personal and meaningful support throughout their growth journeys.
Group home activities
We held a craft workshop using air-dry clay, as well as an activity involving temporary tattoos, fostering creativity, personal expression, and the development of new skills.
We also provided training on the various stages of pregnancy and baby development, helping our expectant mothers better understand the changes and processes that occur during this significant phase.
Furthermore, we warmly celebrated the 13th birthday of one of our expectant mothers, sharing a joyful moment and ensuring she felt cared for and supported.
Through these activities, we continue to create spaces for learning, well-being, and personal growth for our young women.
Institutional
This month, we launched a cleaning services venture that will enable the young women in our home to generate their own income, encourage saving, and move toward greater economic autonomy, thereby strengthening their opportunities to build an independent and sustainable future.
Thank you!
