The Momentum You Started in July
Since the inauguration of our new building in July, the energy here has been unstoppable. Your support has allowed us to serve 5,000 breakfasts and conduct over 50 workshops, from English tutoring and art classes to health workshops with local officials.
The new center isn't just a building; it is a launchpad. And this past quarter (Oct-Dec), the results spoke for themselves.
Nourishing Bodies and Minds
In just the last three months, you provided 3,600 healthy breakfasts. With a 90% attendance rate, the dining hall has become the heart of our community. But you know that we feed dreams, not just bellies.
Meet Nancy: Finding Her Voice
Statistics are important, but stories show the real change. Meet Nancy.
Nancy often struggles with reading and writing in her traditional school classes. It can be discouraging. But during our recent English class, something changed. During a listening challenge, Nancy was the first to identify the correct sentence, before everyone else in the class.
She told us:
"Although I sometimes find it hard to learn at school, I have improved a lot in the English workshops. I like to listen and learn by heart, and in these activities, I do it better every day." — Nancy
This is what you make possible. You aren't just teaching English; you are giving children like Nancy a place to feel capable, intelligent, and proud.
Challenges & Growth
We believe in transparency with our partners. We are currently working hard to improve punctuality for the workshops. It is a challenge, but we are using it as an opportunity to teach discipline and responsibility, skills that will serve the children for a lifetime.
What’s Next: The AI Skills Opportunity
We have fed their bodies and nurtured their self-esteem. Now, we want to give them tools for the future.
We are launching an initiative to build an Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Our goal is to ensure vulnerable children in Cartagena have the high-tech skills necessary to lift their families out of poverty permanently.
We are looking for 20 computers to make this lab a reality.
Would you consider helping us bridge this digital gap? We would be so grateful for your support in taking this next step together.
