Thanks to your generosity, Enseña por México continues to expand educational opportunities across the Valle de Bravo region, reaching more than 1,400 students, teachers, and community members in 19 schools. Valle de Bravo in Estado de Mexico is home to many rural communities where children and young people face significant barriers to educational opportunity. Limited access to internet connectivity, long distances to school, scarce learning resources, and few socioemotional support services can make it difficult for students to reach their full potential.
Through the work of Enseña por México, local educators, families, and community leaders are coming together to address these challenges and create stronger opportunities for children and youth.
This year alone, students are making meaningful progress: over 80% improved their academic knowledge and skills, while many strengthened key socioemotional competencies such as self-confidence, self-control, and growth mindset. In primary schools, more than 70% of students advanced to higher reading levels and 65% improved their writing skills.
The impact extends beyond the classroom. Enseña por México facilitated community engagement activities, trained more than 50 teachers, and supported families through workshops focused on emotional wellbeing and positive parenting. Fellows from Enseña por México are also helping schools strengthen key alliances to improve access to essential services such as internet connectivity, electricity, and water, while participating in gender-transformative education training that supports more equitable learning environments and helps positively impact the lives of girls and young women. School leaders continue to recognize the value of this work, with 100% of participating principals saying they would recommend Enseña por México to other schools.
These results are possible because of supporters like you. Thank you for helping create opportunities for children and young people in Valle de Bravo and for being part of a growing effort to strengthen schools, families, and communities across the region.
