Monica A. is a young student at SUPERATEC’s training center in Cagua. After completing the SUPERATEC’s 160 hours training program she shared the following testimony:
“My experience in SUPERATEC has been excellent. It made me grow up as a person and was an important step towards my professional development. This experience provided me an opportunity to get to know valuable people such as SUPERATEC’s team. This experience has been one of the most rewarding I’ve ever had. It has been very inspiring because I realized how many valuable people there is in my country. Being in SUPERATEC has been for me like a renaissance in all the ways”
Even though our country is going through difficult times, SUPERATEC does not stop growing and striving to transform lives through technology.
We are happy to announce that SUPERATEC is about to inaugurate two new digital inclusion centers in Maracaibo, State of Zulia, which is the second most populated city in Venezuela. At the same time, SUPERATEC is about to initiate a project aimed to open one more digital before the end of this year. With these three new centers SUPERATEC is now two steps from our significant milestone of 20 centers in Venezuela.
On the last two weeks of April SUPERATEC held four certification ceremonies for 147 people who completed the SUPERATEC´s 120 hours training program. Besides, during the first quarter of the current year, 1172 people attended courses on technology as a tool for life offered by SUPERATEC-CDI network.
SUPERATEC is also updating its main training program in order to fulfill the expectations and needs of our beneficiaries and to meet the job market’s current reality. Following the suggestions collected from our students, the SUPERATEC’s 160 hours training program has been reduced to 120 hours. It was also reorganized and renewed by incorporating training modules on entrepreneurship in order to provide the students with basic tools for self-employment or for initiating a micro business on activities related to technology, such as technical support for PC’s and digital editions.
Thanks to donors like you, even in difficult times, SUPERATEC keeps growing and innovating in order to serve better our beneficiaries.
