This year we have an incredible project which is helping us to reach others communities in Venezuela and we are working to open at least another 4 centers in 2013 and 2 more in 2014. Also we keep our work in all our centers, providing digital inclusion for underserved communities So we are working as hard as we can!
We are strengthening our relationship with the communities. We believe that an empowered community has a key to work on its own development. This is a great lesson for us; our success is based on our capacity to understand the real need of the communities.
Since May we have attended over 900 participants. They can choose among a diversity of courses including our Superatec Program, where youth can learn about technologies, job skills and civic education. Plus, any member of the community can learn a new technological skill with our short courses. The Superatec’s Job Bank is monitoring the next step of our participants and helping them to make their way through the job market.
In our centers we aim to improve the skills of our participants, in order to improve their quality of life as individuals, but also, we are developing social leaders and changemakers who can create a new reality in their communities.
