Potential New SUPERATEC Centers in course
Potential New SUPERATEC Centers in course

We are celebrating our tenth anniversary giving others the opportunity of improve their quality of life. We have been doing that through alternative education in technologies, human values, education, and job skills.

Since 2002, more than 13,000 people have been benefited in our Training Centers throughout Venezuela, of which 55% are youngsters. The Job Bank has placed more than 2500 of our participants in their first job in the formal market, with the collaboration of more than 110 hiring companies; thus enforcing a sense of commitment in their Social Enterprise role  by assuring these youngsters personal development. Also, more than 1500 participants continue their studies, according to our follow-up statistics.

SUPERATEC`s impacts are to:

  • Bridge the digital divide in low income communities by offering technological training;
  • Promote citizenship through human development sessions, implementing community projects;
  • Motivate participants to continue college studies. Improve their quality of life, by offering job positions to SUPERATEC graduates through our exclusive Job Portal http://superatec.bumeran.com.ve
  • SUPERATEC measures program effectiveness through tests and evaluations provided by the teachers. This is possible thanks to an automated system designed and developed in house named SIMEDIMOS (Spanish acronym for WE MEASURE).  Programs completion rate is 88%.

SUPERATEC’s qualitative goals are to influence students’ self-esteem, which will enhance their potential and impact; motivate students to assume an active role in their community to identify means of improving living conditions; and involve youth and the broader community in computer learning through the establishment of additional Training Centers.

So far in 2012, 1,365 people have been benefited with our courses in all our centers. We also have inaugurated two new Superatec centers in the states of Vargas and Miranda,and another center which is preparing for the opening in Capital District. These centers represent a new challenge for us and we are excited for attending communities that we couldn’t reach before.
