Thank you for supporting our goal to build a football field for our participants. We are excited to announce that we have started the construction of this project, thanks to generous donors like you!
We have laid the foundation of the second field and it is starting to take shape. We are excited to continue building the field over the next month. When this project is completed we will be able to double our reach and provide employment opportunities for six additional youth members.
Since launching our first field, we have had participants enjoying the field for sport and life skills sessions. They are learning valuable life skills that set them up for future success. We have focused on building their self-esteem, sexual health knowledge, and promoting gender equity. We are proud to announce that 82% of our participants have improved their sexual health knowledge and 90% report improved emotional well-being.
In addition to upskilling our participants, we have hired six previously unemployed youth from the community to run our football field. They are working as referees, facility managers, and coaches. This gives them valuable work experience and income, giving them access to meaningful employment.
