In April 2026, the Men as Partners in Change program successfully completed its graduation activities, marking the end of another meaningful round of learning, reflection, and personal growth. This phase brought together 40 students for a four-month program that combined mathematics education with sessions focused on confidence, communication, emotional management, human rights, gender equality, and personal responsibility.
This round built on the success of earlier program cycles. In the first round, 40 students were recruited, and 35 successfully completed the program. The second round also enrolled 40 students and concluded successfully. The current graduating group continued that strong foundation, showing commitment to both academic learning and personal development throughout the program.
In mathematics, students focused on algebra and polynomial topics, including division of polynomials, the Remainder Theorem, the Factor Theorem, synthetic division, chapter review, practice exercises, and a final chapter exam. These lessons helped students improve their problem-solving skills and gain confidence in topics that many had previously found difficult.
By the end of the program, students were better able to solve complex polynomial division problems, apply the Remainder and Factor Theorems, and use synthetic division as a faster method for solving algebra problems. Revision sessions gave students the chance to correct mistakes, ask questions, and strengthen their understanding before final assessments. Exam results showed that most students made strong progress in algebra and polynomial concepts.
The Men as Partners in Change sessions focused on Managing Anxiety and Uncertainty and included a full program review. Students reflected on their learning experience and shared how the program influenced their thinking, behavior, and future goals. Many spoke about becoming more confident, improving their communication skills, and learning how to approach challenges with a calmer and more positive mindset.
One student, Ahmad, shared:
“At the beginning, algebra was very difficult for me, especially division of polynomials. I used to get confused and lose confidence. But during the revision sessions, I practiced a lot and learned how to use the remainder and factor theorems.”
He also reflected on the personal development side of the program, saying:
“In MPC classes, I also learned how to manage anxiety and not give up when things are difficult. Now, I feel more confident solving math problems, and I try to stay calm and focused during exams.”
Another student, Abdullah, shared how the program helped him grow both academically and personally:
“Before this program, I was not confident in speaking or solving math problems in front of others. But during the classes, I improved step by step.”
He added:
“In MPC sessions, I learned how to deal with stress and express my ideas clearly. Now, I can participate in discussions and help my classmates. I feel proud that I completed the program.”
The final month included several important closing activities, including chapter review, practice exercises, a final chapter exam, focus group discussions, post-program surveys, student interviews, and the graduation ceremony. These activities helped measure the impact of the program and gave students the opportunity to reflect on their progress.
The graduation ceremony was completed successfully, and students received certificates recognizing their achievement. It was a meaningful moment for students to celebrate their hard work, growth, and commitment.
Throughout the four-month session, students gained both academic knowledge and life skills. In mathematics, they strengthened their understanding of number operations, fractions, decimals, algebra, and polynomials. In Men as Partners in Change sessions, they learned about human rights, gender equality, communication, emotional management, and positive decision-making.
Students also improved their teamwork, confidence, and ability to express themselves. Many now feel better prepared to manage stress, participate in discussions, support their classmates, and contribute positively to their communities.
During the reporting period, all sessions and final activities were conducted in a safe and stable environment. There were no security concerns, and all planned classes, assessments, focus group discussions, interviews, and graduation activities were completed without disruption.
The successful graduation of this program shows the value of combining academic support with personal development. Students completed the program with stronger math skills, greater confidence, and a deeper understanding of how to manage challenges, communicate respectfully, and take responsibility for positive change in their lives and communities.
