Challenge

The project addresses the growing impact of conflict and violence on youth in Cameroon, especially those displaced by the Anglophone crisis. Many are vulnerable, unemployed, and lack direction, making them prone to trauma or radicalization. This project empowers them to become peacebuilders and lead positive change in their communities.

Solution

This project will solve the problem by equipping 100 conflict-affected youths with skills in peacebuilding, leadership, and trauma healing. Through training, mentorship, and youth-led community initiatives, they will promote dialogue, reduce violence, and inspire others. Empowered as Peace Ambassadors, they will lead efforts to rebuild trust and unity within their communities.

Long-Term Impact

The project's long-term impact includes the creation of a sustainable network of young peacebuilders who will continuously promote non-violence, tolerance, and social cohesion. As trained ambassadors, they will influence peers, reduce youth involvement in conflict, and strengthen community resilience. Over time, this grassroots movement can foster lasting peace and development.
