Dear Donors,

Thank you for your overwhelming generosity. Your kind donations to our December Fundraiser came to a grand total of $15,375.

During 2015 and 2016, your donations will be used to train the Children's Nutrition Program of Haiti's (CNP) 36 community nutrition workers (monitrices), in the subjects listed below. Combined, these subjects ensure that monitrices receive a comprehensive education in malnutrition and an understanding of the root causes of malnutrition. The 2016 curriculum will be developed in late 2015.

January - Nutrition
February - Malnutrition
March - Women's Rights
April - Mosquito Borne Diseases
May - Family Planning
June - Hygiene
July - Pregnancy and Delivery
August- Breastfeeding
September - Treating Water and Diarrhea
October - Vaccinations
November - Chronic Diseases
December - HIV, AIDS & STDs

Your donations will also be used to replace the equipment monitrices use each day, including:

Raincoats: Haiti experiences a rainy season from May to June and a hurricane season from July to October. Raincoats protect CNP monitrices against the elements whilst they make their long treks through the mountains to visit each family in their community.
Hanging Scales: Monitrices carry these portable scales from house to house and weigh each child under five years of age in their community. This enables them to identify underweight children and track the progress of children under rehabilitation.
Height Boards: Another portable piece of equipment used by monitrices to track child growth.

In the long term your donations will improve the health and development of Haitian children, particularly those suffering from malnutrition, who can in turn raise Haiti from poverty.
