The second quarter of 2026 was marked by remarkable progress as communities across Samburu, Nairobi and Tharaka Nithi took bold steps toward ending harmful practices and advancing gender equality. From supporting the development of the Samburu County Youth Policy and empowering over 650 school-going girls through mentorship and menstrual health initiatives, to engaging Morans as champions of positive masculinity and amplifying the voices of FGM survivors, this edition showcases the power of community-led change. We also welcomed a delegation from Sierra Leone, reinforcing Kenya's growing role in inspiring regional efforts to eliminate FGM. Discover these inspiring stories of partnership, resilience and transformation—and see how, together, we are building safer, more inclusive communities for women, girls and young people.
